Surgeons in West Virginia earn an average of $229,250 a year, which is $403,750 lower than the average of $633,000, according to AMN Healthcare’s “2023 Review of Physician and Advanced Practitioner Recruiting Incentives” report released July 24.
It is also $325,270 lower than salaries in the highest paying state, Hawaii, according to Bureau of Labor statistics data.
