Here are four things to know:

1. The Hana table enables surgeons to replace the hip through a single incision, without detachment of muscle from the pelvis or femur.

2. In addition, the table allows for safer hyperextension, adduction and external rotation of the leg for femoral component placement.

3. The Hana table incorporates a patented femoral lift and support system enhancing femoral exposure for improved component placement.

4. Jay Savage, MD, performed the first anterior approach hip replacement surgery using the Hana table.
