Smith+Nephew closes $225M tendon repair acquisition

Smith+Nephew has completed its acquisition of Integrity Orthopaedics, adding the FDA-cleared Tendon Seam rotator cuff repair system to its shoulder portfolio. 

The deal supports Smith+Nephew’s RISE strategy to accelerate growth and expands its repair offering alongside the Regeneten bioinductive implant, according to a Jan. 21 news release.

The $225 million cash transaction includes up to $225 million in performance-based payments over five years.
