San Antonio Orthopaedic Group to participate in NeoCart clinical trial

The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group is participating in a clinical trial of NeoCart, a tissue implant designed for use in knee cartilage injuries, according to a mySA report.

Orthopedic surgeon Brad S. Tolin, MD, will be leading the clinical trial at San Antonio Orthopaedic Group. Nationwide, the trial will include 245 patients receiving care at up to 40 different sites, according to the report.

 

The NeoCart tissue implant is created from a patient’s own cells, according to the report.
