Memphis, Tenn.-based Campbell Clinic has added five new musculoskeletal physicians to its team, including Joshua Brandon, MD; Christopher Holland, MD; Jimmie Mancell, MD; Omar Medina, MD; and Austin Murphy, MD. 

Williamston, N.C.-based Roanoke Orthopedics was scheduled to close down following the Aug. 3 shutdown of its affiliate, Williamston-based Martin General Hospital, according to an Oct. 5 report from local NBC affiliate WITN. 

The orthopedic surgery landscape of today may not look the same tomorrow.  

Baptist Health recently added Michael Cohn, MD, to its orthopedic team.

Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed shoulder surgery on Manny Machado, a player for MLB's San Diego Padres, in Los Angeles on Oct. 3.

Here are 14 orthopedic surgeons who joined new practices or added to their titles in September:

Morrisville, Vt.-based Copley Hospital broke ground on its Mansfield Orthopedics Waterbury (Vt.) medical office building. 

Statesville, N.C.-based Piedmont Bone and Joint has added Travis Eason, MD, to its team of orthopedic surgeons. 

Hendersonville, N.C.-based UNC Health Pardee has added four new physicians to Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, including Hubert Gooch, MD; James Hoski, MD; Mark Moody, MD; and Marshall Ney, MD. 

Christopher Proctor, MD, joined Lazurite's medical advisory board, the medtech company said Oct. 4.
