Minnesota is the highest-paying state for orthopedic surgeons based on the newest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, released April 3. 

The transition from NFL player to orthopedic specialist is not an unusual one. Several notable NFL players, including Chiefs offensive lineman Mark Adickes, MD, and Pittsburgh Steelers head surgeon James Bradley, MD, have begun musculoskeletal careers following their football careers.

OrthoArkansas has added a new rheumatology center at its Little Rock, North Little Rock and Conway locations, according to an April 2 report from Talk Business & Politics.
