Orthopedic surgeons, physicians needed in Kathmandu following quake

Lila Mani Poudyal, Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal, says the nation especially needs orthopedic doctors, nerve specialists, anesthetists, surgeons and paramedics, according to a KOIN.com report.

Nepal’s appeal for medical and physician resources comes after a disastrous 7.8 earthquake struck between Kathmandu and Pokhara. BBC News reports at least 3,617 people are known to have died and more than 6,500 people have been injured.
