Dr. Hopkinson also serves as an orthopedic surgery professor at Loyola Center for Health at Burr Ridge (Ill.).
His clinical specialties include sports medicine, injuries and conditions of the hip, hip replacement, knee joint arthritis and total joint replacement.
Dr. Hopkinson has published research on a variety of topics, including total hip and knee arthroplasty in medical journals such as Arthroplasty Today and The Journal of Arthroplasty.
In October 2018, Dr. Hopkinson was recognized by Chicago Magazine’s list of Top Orthopedic Doctors.
After earning his medical degree from Maywood-based Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Dr. Hopkinson completed his residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colo. He then underwent fellowship training in sports medicine at West Point, N.Y.-based United States Military Academy and adult reconstructive surgery at National Hospital for Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in Arlington, Va.
