Dr. Hernandez researches outcomes, disparities and cost effectiveness analysis after joint reconstruction. In addition, he is a two-time recipient of the Fernandez Filiberty’s award for his research with the Puerto Rican Orthopedic Society. During his fellowship, he won the EOA/OREF Fellow Award for his contribution to the Eastern Orthopedic Association.
Dr. Hernandez graduated from the Universidad del Norte, Colombia and completed a research Fellow, internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus. Dr. Hernandez went on to complete his fellowship in joint replacement and adult reconstruction at the Philadelphia-based Rothman Institute.
