Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Patrick Maloney of Mercy Medical Center

Patrick J. Maloney, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Mercy Medical Center’s Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction in Baltimore.

With expertise in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Maloney’s specialties also include Achilles tendinitis, ankle arthritis, flat feet and foot fractures.

In 2018, Dr. Maloney was recognized as one of Baltimore Magazine’s ‘Top Doctors.’ He was also named Physician of the Year at Baltimore-based University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Institute in 2017.

Dr. Maloney is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a faculty member of AO North America. Additionally, he is a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.

After earning his medical degree from Philadelphia-based Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Maloney completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., and a foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Florida Orthopedics Institute in Tampa.
