Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Monica Kogan of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush

Monica Kogan, MD, is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and assistant professor at Rush University Medical Center. Her research interests include treatment of clubfeet, as well as limb lengthening and reconstruction.

Currently, Dr. Kogan is the Director of the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at Rush University Medical Center. Prior to joining Rush, Dr. Kogan was with Children’s Hospital and Research Center in Oakland, specializing in treatment of pediatric broken bones and other orthopedic issues unique to pediatric patients, such as trauma, birth defects and scoliosis.

 

Dr. Kogan received her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. She then went on to complete a residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, also in Chicago, before completing her pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at the Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
