Dr. Muller received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas before completing a general surgery internship at Parkland Hospital. Following the internship, Dr. Muller entered active Air Force duty as a flight surgeon where he commanded medical operations on trips to the Middle East, South America and Korea.
Returning to Dallas after the Air Force, Dr. Muller completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas before serving two years as a military orthopedic surgeon in California. Following his service, Dr. Muller was selected for the Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at Cornell University/Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
