Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Mark D. Miller of the University of Virginia School of Medicine

Mark D. Miller, MD, is the S. Ward Casscells Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville as well as the deputy editor of sports medicine for The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

Dr. Miller’s expertise is in knee and shoulder arthroscopy, including complex ligament reconstruction of the ACL and labral repair of the shoulder. Dr. Miller is also a retired Air Force Colonel a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.

 

Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. Dr. Miller also completed a traveling fellowship with AOA NATA and a sports medicine and shoulder surgery fellowship with the University of Pittsburgh.
