Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Marc J. Philippon of The Steadman Clinic

Marc J. Philippon, MD, is a managing partner of The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., as well as a sports medicine and hip disorder specialist. He also co-chairs the Steadman Philippon Research Institute and was peer recognized in US News and World Report as one of the top 1 percent of physicians in his specialty.

Dr. Philippon has treated numerous professional and Olympic athletes in addition to performing surgeries in 15 countries, becoming known for his joint preservation techniques such as an improved arthroscopic hip surgery technique.

 

Dr. Philippon received his medical degree from McMaster University Medical School in Canada and completed his orthopedic surgery residency with Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami.
