Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Brassard previously served as team physician to the New York Liberty WNBA team and New York Knicks. He has published his work in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, Journal of the Southern Orthopaedic Association and The American Journal of Radiology.
Dr. Brassard is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Maryland Orthopaedic Society and John Insall Society. He is also the chairman of the advisory board for the Arthritis Foundation of Southern Maryland.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Boston, Dr. Brassard completed his residency at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Dr. Brassard underwent fellowship training at the Beth Israel Hospital in New York City.
