Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Kristoff Reid of Medical University of South Carolina

Kristoff R. Reid, MD, is an orthopedic trauma specialist at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He served in the United States Army for five years, with service in Kosovo, the Sinai Peninsula and Afghanistan. He still serves as a surgeon in the U.S. Army Reserves, holding the rank of major.

Dr. Reid is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, AOTrauma North America and Piedmont Orthopedic Society. His research interests include fractures and nonunions. He has been published in professional journals, such as Orthopedics, and he has presented at orthopedic conferences.

 

Dr. Reid completed his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
