Dr. Switzer is an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at the Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota Medical School. She specializes in geriatric trauma, osteoporosis and other bone metabolism diseases.
Dr. Switzer received her medical degree from Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine and underwent sports medicine fellowship training at Vail (Colo.) Valley Medical Center.
Her research interests include fracture fixation, geriatric assessment, elder abuse and mandatory reporting. She has published scientific articles in several peer-reviewed journals.
