Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Jon J P Warner of Massachusetts General Hospital

Jon J P Warner, MD, is the chief of the Massachusetts General Hospital shoulder service in Boston, and professor of orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Warner is also the current president of the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society.

Dr. Warner’s clinical interests include many shoulder procedures such as shoulder fractures, shoulder arthritis, shoulder nerve injuries and scapular winging.

 

Dr. Warner has authored over 100 peer review publications, 200 book chapters and five textbooks in shoulder surgery, and his research has been recognized with over 30 awards from across the world.

 

After receiving his medical degree from the University of Rochester (N.Y.) School of Medicine and Dentistry, Dr. Warner completed two residencies and three fellowships. His fellowship training was with Children’s Hospital Boston, Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and University of Bern in Switzerland.
