Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. G. Daxton Steele of Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine

G. Daxton Steele, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.

Dr. Steele’s work has been published in the Journal of Arthroplasty, Essentials in Total Knee Arthroplasty and Essentials in Total Hip Arthroplasty. He is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Dr. Steele and a group from the AAHKS recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to discuss the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement model with congressional representatives. 

Dr. Steele earned his medical degree from Philadelphia-based Temple University before completing a residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He underwent fellowship training at Charlotte, N.C.-based OrthoCarolina.
