In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lewallen is the president of the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation. He is also the medical director of the American Joint Replacement Registry.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Lewallen specializes in hip and knee replacements, trauma care and joint revisions.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Dr. Lewallen completed his residency at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He underwent fellowship training at Boston-based Beth Israel Hospital.
