Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. William Maloney of Stanford Medicine

William Maloney, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and professor at Stanford (Calif.) Medicine.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Maloney is the chair of Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine. He specializes in unicompartmental knee replacement and failed joint replacement.


Dr. Maloney is a member of the American Joint Replacement Registry, International Hip Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.


After earning his medical degree from New York City-based Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Maloney completed his residency at Stanford University Medical Center. He underwent fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
