Dr. Chen has completed subspecialty training in hip preservation surgery as a part of a traveling hip fellowship at top centers in the United States and Europe. He performs partial knee replacement and direct anterior hip replacement as well as periacetabular osteotomy and surgical hip dislocation. During his residency, he won the Dr. Robert Sieffert Award for outstanding academic achievements and clinical excellence three times. He has written numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters.
Dr. Chen earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction/joint replacement at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
