Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Anne H. Johnson of Massachusetts General Hospital

Anne H. Johnson, MD, is a foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon with Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition, Dr. Johsnon is a team physician for USA Hockey, as well as an instructor in orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Johnson has researched and published on the treatment Flatfoot Deformity. Currently, she is writing a chapter in a foot and ankle sports medicine textbook. Dr. Johnson treats all orthopedic maladies of the foot and ankle, and has a particular interest in osteochondral lesions, ligament instability, foot and ankle trauma, and Achilles tendon problems.

 

After receiving her medical degree from the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Johnson completing her general surgery internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She then completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York before completing a fellowship in foot and ankle orthopedic surgery at HSS as well.
