Orthopedic surgeon leader to know: Dr. Steven Kronlage of Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine

Steven C. Kronlage, MD, is an orthopedic hand specialist practicing with Andrews Institute Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Fla. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery as well as a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and Florida Orthopaedic Society.

Dr. Kronlage previously served as medical director of the Pensacola Pelicans minor league baseball team. His clinical interests include adult and pediatric surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder; sports medicine injuries, arthroscopy, post-traumatic reconstruction and arthritis surgery. His current research centers on outcomes evaluation of carpal tunnel release by severity. He is also a medical mission team member with Love for Peru Foundation, a nonprofit.

 

Dr. Kronlage earned his medical degree and completed his residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He completed a hand, microvascular and upper extremity surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
