Orthopedic surgeon leader to know: Dr. Jaimo Ahn of Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

Jaimo Ahn, MD, PhD, is an orthopedic surgeon and an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, AO North America and Foundation of Orthopaedic Trauma.

Dr. Ahn’s clinical interests include fracture care, fracture reconstruction, heterotopic ossification, hip deformities, limb lengthening, orthopedic trauma and osteomyelitis. His research has been published in a number of prestigious journals, such as Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and New England Journal of Medicine. His hospital affiliations include Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Pennsylvania Hospital, both in Philadelphia.

 

Dr. Ahn earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and fellowship training at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
