He serves as team physician for the University of Wisconsin athletic department, where he provides coverage for football, ice hockey, soccer and wrestling teams. His research, which has been published in Journal of Experimental Orthopaedics and Journal of Biomechanics, focuses on outcomes data of various orthopedic treatments.
Dr. Baer earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He went on to complete residency training at Charlottesville-based University of Virginia Health System and a sports medicine fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
