He plays an active role in his community in Little Rock, serving as the medical director for junior deputy baseball and the team physician for teams including Arkansas Travelers minor league baseball and Mount St. Mary Academy athletics. He holds memberships with various professional societies, such as American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Gordon earned his medical degree from the Little Rock-based University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he also did his residency. He went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute.
