His primary interest is the care of athletes, where he performs procedures like ACL reconstruction, shoulder instability and arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. He has served as the team physician for both the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and American Medical Association.
Dr. Eggert earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa, Wis., where he later completed his residency. Following his time in the Midwest, he participated in a sports medicine fellowship at Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver, Colo.
