His research, which has been published in Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery and Clinical Orthopaedics, investigates the outcomes of joint replacement techniques. He previously served as an instructor of orthopedic surgery at Northwestern University Medical School in Evanston, Ill., and as an assistant clinical professor in orthopedics at Ohio State University in Columbus.
He holds memberships with American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Vaughn earned his medical degree at University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. He went on to complete residency training at UCSF in San Francisco and a total joint replacement fellowship at Ohio State University in Columbus.
