Dr. Heitner is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and part of North County Orthopaedics Group in Watertown, N.Y.
He earned his medical degree and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
Dr. Heitner is a member of the New York State Medical Society, Medical Society of Jefferson County and Jefferson Physician Association.
SMC also welcomed interventional radiologist Sima Banerjee, MD, and psychiatrist Jason Lulejian, DO, to the hospital staff.
