TriMed, an orthopedic device manufacturer and subsidiary of Henry Schein, has suffered a cybersecurity incident affecting parts of its IT systems, according to an Oct. 3 report from Cybernews.
Cybercriminal group Lynx claimed credit for the breach and released data samples from the attack, including executive communications, personal documents, legal documents and intellectual property.
After becoming aware of the incident, TriMed took certain systems offline and implemented other steps to contain the attack. An internal investigation is still ongoing.
Currently, no information suggests that the incident impacted Henry Schein’s central operations in any way, a company spokesperson told Cybernews.
