New Jersey orthopedic practice expands care for women

Morristown, N.J.-based The Pediatric Orthopedic Center, the largest pediatric orthopedic practice in the state, has relaunched its center for female athletes.

The center’s team is made up of 50% female orthopedic surgeons who specialize in providing care for young female athletes, according to a Feb. 3 news release from The Pediatric Orthopedic Center. 

Specialists include psychologists, nutritionists, adolescent medicine specialists and endocrinologists. 

The female specialists are Samara Friedman, MD, Anna Katsman, MD, Sarah Stelma, MD, and Alexandra D’Agostini, MD. 

The center will also offer the only low-dose EOS imaging system in Northern New Jersey and BEAR implant procedures for ACL reconstruction. 

The specialists will also treat shoulder and elbow injuries, hip injuries, foot and ankle injuries and spine deformities.
