Minnesota orthopedic practice adds Dr. John Harvey — 3 insights

Alexandria, Minn.-based Heartland Orthopedic Specialists is adding nonsurgical sports medicine specialist John Harvey, MD, to its staff, the Voice of Alexandria reports.

What you should know:

1. Dr. Harvey earned a medical degree from Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed a residency at Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Halifax Health and returned to the University of Minnesota for his fellowship.

2. He provides an array of nonsurgical orthopedic treatments, including platelet-rich plasma and ultrasound-guided injections.

3. Dr. Harvey will provide sports medicine coverage to the University of Minnesota Morris and several area high schools.
