Medical Society of New Jersey names Dr. Steven Berkowitz president: 6 things to know

The Medical Society of New Jersey recently named Steven Berkowitz, MD, president, according to an Asbury Park Press report.

Here are six things to know:

 

1. Dr. Berkowitz is the 223rd president of the society.

 

2. He has served as a member of the society’s board of trustees since 2004.

 

3. He co-founded and currently practices at Ocean, N.J.-based Seaview Orthopaedic and Medical Associates.

 

4. Dr. Berkowitz has had more than 35 years of experience and is a as past president of the New Jersey Orthopaedic Society.

 

5. He serves as the clinical instructor for the orthopedic rotation at the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, N.J.

 

6. Dr. Berkowitz is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
