Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association names Dr. Robert Patz president — 5 key notes

Robert L. Patz, MD, was named president of the Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association, according to an AAOS Now report.

1. He practices at Orthopaedic Specialists of Massachusetts and is affiliated with New England Baptist Hospital.

 

2. Dr. Patz is on the board of directors for MOA and recently earned his subspecialty certificate in sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

 

3. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Patz is an assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine.

 

4. Dr. Patz completed a sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at Orthopaedic research of Virginia in Richmond.

 

5. Dr. Patz has a special interest in shoulder and knee arthroscopy, knee replacement surgery and sports medicine. He has published several articles in professional journals.
