Dr. Harris currently serves as chair of orthopedic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, according to a Dec. 3 news release.
Dr. Harris has been a member of the Mass General Brigham system for more than two decades.
The appointment is effective Jan. 1, 2025, the release said.
