Johnson and Johnson launched its Kincise 2, an automated surgical impactor for hip and knee revisions, according to a June 3 news release.

The next-generation system has acetabular cup extraction and added capabilities to complex procedures. Other features include increased reverse energy and push-to-lock adaptors.

Kincise 2 is the first and only automated impactor approved for removing well-fixed acetabular components, the release said. It is designed for primary and revision hip and revision knee replacement procedures.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
