Here are four things to know:

 

1. Operation Walk is an independent medical charitable organization that provides free knee and hip replacements for patients who don’t quality for government assistance and who do not have insurance.

 

2. Carteret Health Care has participated in Operation Walk for three years.

 

3. Through Operation Walk, Carteret Health Care and Carolinas Center for Surgery, also located in Morehead, are donating physician fees and hospital services.

 

4. Stryker donated hip implants for the procedures.
