Dr. George Davies to keynote Cross Country’s Education 2015 Rehab Summit — 7 things to know

Cross Country Education announced George Davies, MD, renowned rehabilitation expert and speaker, will deliver the keynote address at the 2015 Rehab Summit on July 23 to July 25 in Orlando, Fla.

Here are seven things to know:

 

1. Dr. Davies is considered an expert and pioneer in the field of rehabilitation and physical medicine.

 

2. He will present on his approach to the treatment and rehabilitation of athletes and patients suffering from shoulder injuries.

 

3. Dr. Davies’ keynote address will focus on his proprietary function-testing algorithm, the only algorithm of its kind to deliver objective, evidence-based criteria for clinical decision-making after suffering a shoulder injury.

 

4. The specific criteria outlined in the algorithm will prevent patients from returning to activity too soon after injury.

 

5. Dr. Davies has presented on sports physical therapy, athletic training, shoulder, knee, open and closed chain topics, orthopedics, rehabilitation and isokinetic at hundreds of conferences around the world.

 

6. He is the co-founder and co-editor of The Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. Dr. Davies has published over 200 articles and research abstracts, written several books and chapters to more than 45 books.

 

7. The Rehab Summit will have three tracks with more than 36 sessions.
