Dr. Keith Meister to operate on White Sox pitcher

Keith Meister, MD, is expected to perform Tommy John surgery for White Sox pitcher Mike Vasil, the MLB reported March 17.

Mr. Vasil left a March 14 game with right elbow soreness. Dr. Meister is expected to operate on him on April 2 in Arlington, Texas.

The surgery, which will end Mr. Vasil’s season, will also involve removing some bone chips in his elbow, the MLB said.
