Dr. Newbern earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and went on to complete his residency at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Newbern underwent an adult reconstructive surgery fellowship at The Center for Hip and Knee Surgery in Mooresville, Ind.
