He is the member of several organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Medical Society County of New York and Korean American Medical Practitioners of NY.
Dr. Youm earned his medical degree from New York University in 1999 in New York City. He went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. He completed his sports medicine fellowship at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
