Hospital for Special Surgery also maintained its No. 4 ranking for rheumatology — the highest-ranked hospital for rheumatology in the state — and HSS Lerner Children’s Pavilion was named best pediatric orthopedic hospital in the tri-state region in U.S. News’ Best Children’s Hospitals for Orthopedics list.
“This recognition is a tribute to the excellence and dedication of the HSS staff, and the trust placed in us to meet even the most complex challenges,” Bryan Kelly, MD, the organization’s surgeon-in-chief and medical director, said in a July 27 news release. “Our sole focus on musculoskeletal health uniquely enables us to advance the field in patient care, research, innovation, and education.”
S. Louis Bridges Jr., MD, PhD, physician-in-chief and chief of rheumatology, also commented: “We are proud to be recognized for providing outstanding care for people with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases, which is critical to the integrative care approach at HSS.”
