The Hartford HealthCare Hartford (Conn.) Surgery Center has received dual advanced orthopedic certification in total joint replacement and complex spine surgery.

It is the only ASC in Connecticut and one of 10 surgery centers in the U.S. to earn the dual certification, according to a Sept. 18 news release from Hartford HealthCare.

The certifications were awarded by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, which recognizes high-performing ASCs across the continuum of orthopedic care including clinical quality, patient safety, surgical outcomes and care coordination.

Hartford Surgery Center provides orthopedic services such as hand, shoulder, knee, foot and ankle procedures, complex spine surgeries, total joint replacements and pain management treatments.

The center was founded in 2017 and has five operating rooms, the release said.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 18–20 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
