1. Altamonte Springs-based AdventHealth and Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedics’ new Winter Garden practice serves 80 to 100 patients a day. 

2. Fort Walton Beach-based Orthopaedic Associates and Panama City-based Southern Orthopedic Specialists have planned a merger for November. 

3. HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte reopened its orthopedic and spine unit. 

4. Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic is adding two new locations. 

5. A Florida surgeon performed the first case using the Anika Therapeutics X-Twist fixation system. 

6. Matthew Pacana, MD, joined Coastal Orthopedics’ Bradenton practice. 

7. West Palm Beach-based Paley Orthopedic and Spine Institute added three new surgeons. 

8. AdventHealth opened a $70 million sports medicine hub.
