The device, OrthAlign Lantern, provides real-time guidance to personalize implant placement based on each patient’s anatomy. The system aims to improve alignment, reduce blood loss and lower the need for additional imaging, according to a Jan. 7 news release.
East Alabama Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine surgeons are using the tool to guide procedures with greater accuracy, which may support smoother recoveries and better long-term outcomes.
