Dr. Robert D. Swift joins Lewis County General Hospital: 5 key notes

Robert D. Swift, DO, has joined Lewis County General Hospital and Lewis County Orthopedics in Lowville, N.Y.

1. Dr. Swift received his doctorate degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury.

 

2. After medical school, Dr. Swift completed an internship in general surgery at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Ga. He also completed an orthopedic residency at UMDNJ-SOM/Cooper University Medical Center in Stratford, N.J.

 

3. Dr. Smith has additional subspecialty training in shoulder arthroscopy and sports medicine from the Hughston Clinic and orthopedic trauma from Vanderbilt Orthopedic Institute.

 

4. Dr. Swift earned the Meritorious Service Award for his orthopedic service while stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and the Bronze Star Medal for his service while in Afghanistan.

 

5. Dr. Swift will see patients at Lewis County Orthopedics on the hospital’s main campus beginning July 8.
