Dr. Berger surpassed 12,000 outpatient joint replacements performed — more than any other orthopedic surgeon worldwide, according to a March 25 news release. His patients have included celebrities, former presidents and athletes.
He was the first physician to perform hip and knee replacements in an outpatient setting and is known for his technique, which avoids cutting muscle, ligaments and tendons.
“It has been an honor to go through the years with my patients,” Dr. Berger said. “My greatest satisfaction is seeing them regain independence and resume activities after surgery.”
