Dr. Lawrence Huff 1st to use ExactechGPS for shoulder revision: 4 things to know

Lawrence Huff, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the Desert Orthopaedic Center in Las Vegas, was the first surgeon to use the ExactechGPS Guided Personalizes Surgery system for shoulder revision surgery.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. The ExactechGPS system is designed to allow surgeons to understand a patients’ anatomy prior to the surgery and provide visibility into critical areas of the shoulder in real time.

 

2. Dr. Huff is the ninth surgeon in the U.S. to use the system for advanced shoulder implant placement during a shoulder replacement procedure.

 

3. Dr. Huff is fellowship trained in shoulder and elbow surgery from The CORE Institute in Phoenix.

 

4. After earning his medical degree from the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine, Dr. Huff completed his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
