Sports medicine surgeon Justin Smith, MD, plans to launch his own practice, Journey Orthopaedic Institute, he said in a Dec. 1 LinkedIn post.
Dr. Smith plans to launch the practice towards the end of 2025, his post said. Dr. Smith, who previously worked within health systems, said he’s building his practice on values including cost transparency, holistic sports medicine, patient-first care and innovation.
Dr. Smith earned his medical degree and completed his residency at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester, Mich., according to his LinkedIn profile.
